I personally think it's way over due for some bug fixes or even an overhaul.

Is the Vampire skill line on the list?

Just to make this post a little more constructive then just a question... If you have any thing you would like to be added or changed in regard's to the Vampire Skill Line post below. I'd love to hear your opinion's.

I'll start.

1: I think Drain Essence should be usable in Mist Form. For some synergy.
2: Let Drain Essence damage scale off your highest stat, however still cost magicka.
3: Allow Mist Form to be used in stealth. Just to get around a little faster without being seen.

and my favorite

4: Please fix stage timer's. Add incentive to be stage 1 and actually feed. Less damage from fighter's guild ability's perhaps? ;) Freshen thing's up at least. It's boring being stage 4.

I agree with making the timers for stages at least 24 hours, because as is it's stage 4 or nothing really.

Mist Form should be fixed to actually work though, as it's almost useless in PvP.
I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!

    DC - PC - EU - Australian
VR11 Mrderrikk: Breton Stam Sorc (Vamp) | VR16 Derrikkinblack: Dunmer Mage DK | VR3 Cuts-Until-It-Dies: Argonian Magicka NB

    Oh look, Anook.

    My thoughts...

1: Nope. Drinking blood while your stomach is mist is not recommended, you'd have nowhere to put the stuff at that moment. Maybe allow feeding/Drain essence while in mist form if it breaks mist form right away...

2: Nope, don't really see any reason to stamina being involved much in this as it is, not like this anyhow. A stamina morph, maybe, a "ultimate style" best-of selection, not so much...

3: Maaaybe... though Vamps already have their stealth advantage the way I see it, there is no real reason mist form should break stealth when used - I'd treat it like the nightblades cloak in that regard...

4: Yeah... the timers really could use a rework. But... the very first thing I'd want for that is the town guard go all "van Helsing" on anyone they manage to ID as bloodsucker... and a chance for that to happen per stage, with it being automatic at stage 4. Then some way to disguise your vampyness at stage 1, and appear all mortal, just like Count Ravenwatch does the first time you meet him... and then some way to extend stage 1, perhaps through gourging yourself on blood, with each feeding extrnding the stage duration for another 30 minutes...

Common now i wanna hear some different suggestion's. Don't just rip apart mine :P

Also drain essence is technically not blood. Your draining your enemy's "life force" which is like an energy. This can be consumed in any form. Your technically consuming this force with your hand while you are channeling the ability. So consuming this energy while you are a mist is plausible.

In regard's to letting your highest stat work with drain essence, why not? If tank's have high hp they could do decent damage. If a stamina user actual wanted to use the ability it would be at least some what viable. Stamina will not be involved really, it will just influence the damage of the ability. Me personally, i would like to see both Werewolf's + Vampire's scale off of your highest stat, to see more variety with build's. Even though the ability's may be a different damage type, i know some people who would pull it off regardless of any inherent disadvantage's (CP etc).

Pretty much why i brought those two thing's up. It truly is stage 4 or nothing. Mist Form has it's place but defiantly need's to be looked at, i heard the damage mitigation is not working as intended with the new damage reduction in cryodill.

The only problem I have with any of the vamp skills is drains long animation which leaves us vulnerable and can be interrupted. It would be more useful if we could maintain our mobility when using that skill, or change it entirely to something closers to NB's swallow soul.

I did, But you chose to focus more on the criticism then the thoughts I had... ;)
Also don't blame me if I don't want to just add power to the vampires without giving something up in return.
Also drain essence is technically not blood. Your draining your enemy's "life force" which is like an energy. This can be consumed in any form. Your technically consuming this force with your hand while you are channeling the ability. So consuming this energy while you are a mist is plausible.
Vampires suck blood, that's the very -point- of vampire!
Also, have you used the ability? Seen how its done? Looks pretty bloody to me... feels like it too, the stun with it as the pain of having the blood drawn out through their bodies... If you like some energy drain, look at the nightblade, siphoning, strife/funnel health/swallow soul. Those are energy. But vampires are all about the blood, doesn't matter if they do the dracula bite, or if they get other options to make it a bit more useful in a MMO combat...

Also, mist form as "special state" ability should not allow for "attacking while in defense state" options. At the very best, it should break the moment one starts an attack, like cloak.
In regard's to letting your highest stat work with drain essence, why not? If tank's have high hp they could do decent damage. If a stamina user actual wanted to use the ability it would be at least some what viable. Stamina will not be involved really, it will just influence the damage of the ability. Either -ALL- abilities get to work off the highest stat, which would seriously unbalance he game as people could have -both- high health and high damage, or -no- non-ultimate abilities get to have that.
That's why I say no to an universal ability, but a stamina morph may be doable. Although, since the ability is clearly spell-like... I would think its good enough with magica based, and stamina vampires will just have to make do with merely the stun, or use stamina abilities instead and keep their vampyness to the bat swarm...

Like I mentioned, what I really would like to see is for vampires to -feel- like vampires, not just like normal player characters with a nifty extra skill line. It was bad enough they lost the sunlight damage vamps had in other ESO ngames, though I can understand they wouldn't want them to be too limited for their ESOness...
But I really would like to see vampires treated as "monsters" when they flaunt their vampyness. Say, a chance for guards or civilians to spot your vampire status depending on stage... 15% at stage 1, 30% at stage 2, 60% at stage 3 and auto at stage 4. With a "kill on sight" status when spotted and identified as vamp - just from walking past them in the streets. And thus having to live "undercover" or be worse off then outlaws.

And then a way to disguise themselves, either with a skill or some item, depending on their vampirism stage... say, lower the stage chance and visuals by one (meaning at stage 1, the disguise makes you look mortal) and then some way to extend the stages, like I mentioned about gourging with blood, say every feeding at stage 1 adds another 30 minutes, so any vamp that wants to go play "masquerade" could load up on blood and not have to worry about detection through all that stolen life coursing through their body... Or at least a lot longer lasting stages, so your disguise doesn't break while you are in the bank or something unless you were foolishly cutting it too close...

...and possibly even some additional drawbacks if they go without feeding for too long? Like, have a chance to auto-attack and feed from innocents if getting too starved - Including player characters?

Of course, there also should be the option of players allowing voluntary feeding, to sustain their vampire friends...

And then... there should be special hideouts for vampires! Those who played vamps in other TES games know what I am thinking of... places where vampires can be among their kind, perhaps even have vampire only vendors, or daily quests, or whatever... some of those could be done revisiting quest-vampire places, like post questline ravenwatch castle, or the wittestadt manor (of the surviving elder vampire).
Something to make vampires feel like a hidden subculture, not just people with a extra skill line.
