A customized costume concept

I will admit that as I am getting to the highest ranked equipment I notice that some of them are ugly as hell and the costumes themselves may not be better. I miss my mid tier armor but I don't want to sacrifice defense for appearance so I am stuck. My idea to remedy this is to add a special trophy called an Armor stone (or preferably something with a better name ) to a mystic for like 3K. when activated it will record what you are wearing at the time (costumes and shields excluded) and make a unique appearance Item to match what you are wearing. This item will be account bound and with this concept will allow you to enjoy the appearance of your favorite armor, dress in regular clothing, run around naked and still have the benefits of your top tier gear.

I had a similar idea a while back but never got around to writing it down.

Something like this would allow players to completely customize their look, with gear tier, dye, and combination of pieces and even allowing unique, currently uncraftable motifs like Draugr and Worm Cult to be included.

I would whole-heartedly support a system like this, that snapshots whatever is currently equipped and create a costume from it.

well yeah I thought of this then thought that system wouldn't let you change the look to a lower tier look or allow you to wear plain clothing (or lack thereof ) and still be viable for battle. As I said I like the looks of many mid tier armors not too much not too little and many high tier armors are a bit too much for me, I can see why some like them, I don't.the idea you presented would however be a perfect compliment to a system like this. This idea will allow every fashion obsessed person to be happy while at the same time not sacrificing or enhancing any combat related system.

They aren't going to let you do that unless it is implemented in the crownstore as a super costume orb for like 4,500 crowns so that you have to wait 3 months a sub for one item. The item has too many uses and allows people to not ever buy costumes again (unless they want it for something else). Still it will have a high price and zos probably won't do it because why make something fun and functional...

I agree with @Anorak. It should be a crown store consumable item, one time use, and cost significantly more than a polymorph.

Anything like DCUO or Conan has would be nice. I have to admit I don't like being forced into a style just to get a set bonus.
