Will there be a fix for the Berserker Werewolf?

BluSpixMacaw
I couldn't help overhearing everyone talking about how the Berserker Werewolf is supposed to be colored black with red eyes. If that's true then shouldn't it get fixed because right now it looks exactly like the default werewolf.

Yeah, this has always gotten me p!ssed off...they just keep ignoring it... Maybe it is going to be the Werewolf Lord Polymorph...wishful thinking. <.<

It would make sense that the alpha werewolves take a different appearance. Also, I noticed black werewolves in Silvenar, so the assets for this morph definitely exist. Would be nice if they could apply that to the Berserker.

I've seen them as well, and not just in Slivenar, but other spots in Malabal Tor as well. They have the skin and use it on creatures (enemy werewolves are still creatures instead of NPCs in this game, right?) but not the character model. I don't think they're prioritising this because it's just graphical and doesn't actually affect gameplay.

I get that it's just a graphical thing, but it's still an inconsistency, and one that has been brought up on multiple occasions. People choose pack leader over berserker even though they prefer the perks of the berserker, but only because the pack leader looks different. In some little way, that affects their gameplay and their overall experience leading in dissatisfaction, and yet another downside to Werewolf - as if there weren't enough. The least that could happen is Berserker resemble what it does in the icon. That would keep enough people happy for a while, and in my opinion, definitely worth doing.

It's not broken, because the Berserker was never intended to be black with red eyes. In this instance, it is the icon that is misleading, rather than the werewolf skin being bugged.
I'm not trying to be a troll here, but how do you know? If I could see one piece of evidence or an official statement I'd probably shut up about it. I assume you have the evidence or an official statement considering you seemed confident saying it was never intended to be black.

There was this answer from ESO Live:
KhmerShadow - Will Werewolf Berserkers ever get a change in fur color to differentiate from non-morphed werewolves?

We like this idea, but currently we don’t plans for werewolf color variations.
And I believe on Twitch chat a bit after that they said it was currently working as intended.

@GuyNamedSean Actually there's no distinction between NPCs and creatures in ESO - trash mobs, bosses, and passive creatures are all considered NPCs.
That's actually pretty interesting that they're all classed as NPCs. I had a feeling there was something weird about the game. Also, I find it strange that it's working as intended when the blurb for Beserkers states that they have black fur and there's a distinctly black furred model that isn't used.
Agreed, I think it's weird too, considering everything seems to point to it being a bug, and them saying it isn't. But we know how that goes -- "It's not a bug, it's a feature!"

I just hope they fix it because everyone is choosing to be pack leader all because the Berserker werewolf isn't how it's supposed to look like.

Choose your words wisely, they will change the picture to match the current form and call it a fix B)

It's not broken, because the Berserker was never intended to be black with red eyes. In this instance, it is the icon that is misleading, rather than the werewolf skin being bugged.

They have however said that they like the idea of creating a new skin for the Berserker form so that it matches the icon, but don't have plans for it at the moment.

I agree that the Berserker Werewolf should resemble it's actual icon.

I agree, nice black to show leadership.

(plus on mine i see grey and white coming up, would notice more if my werewolf was not bugged, 10 seconds to play him is stupid even if i eat)

Yes i would also like the Beserker to look black. It would be awesome if it looked like the black ww in the hircines gift quest. The one that after you kill a big monster and the pack comes to feed... that looks so awesome
