Because screenshot about Tel Val stones contains a lie:
"Drop from enemy players"
It sounds like if killing enemy player would generate a tel var stone and then killer would have to approach body to "loot it"
While in fact tel var stones do not "drop" from enemy players. They are being STOLEN from enemy players. They lose it and killer get it. And its not a drop loot, he will get it automatically. It should be called with right name:
"Tel var stones
Can be stolen from enemy players"

Oh well, one would think its a tiny detail that tel val stones are actually being taken away from someone, and that person loses it. Other would think its a whole gamechanger.
I though information like that is a must to include. But at the same time, one could think its not best "PR" or marketing move to advertise content/mechanic where you steal things from players and its can be even considered as a kind of online harassment. But then why make such mechanic in first place?

Hmm, they are advertising it. They think it is a great feature. So do a lot of others like me.
Quote from their site: Along the way, collect Tel Var Stones, a new currency you can use to purchase powerful new alliance gear and other valuable items. But be warned! Players from other alliances also patrol the depths, and if they defeat you, your Tel Var Stones will be theirs to plunder!

Yeah, on official site. But did they mention in anywhere at Quake con that the tel var stones that are property of one player will change owner if the former owner gets killed?
Or during whole quakecon panel they just refered simply as "TV stones drop from enemy players"?

Yeah they mention it at 33:56 of this: https://youtu.be/JzirXOHY2gA
Quote: "If you kill an enemy player you are gonna get any Stones that they are carrying. This is huge. This is what is going to bring this fear, worry and like what's coming around this corner."

1. We basically know the same as we knew BEFORE quakecon
2. The first dude cant do presentations, he was so nervous he almost *** his pants...wtf
it felt like they crumbled the presentation together 10mins before it went live
