[CONSOLE PS4] Blocking Players does NOT work correctly.

There is a member of a Trade Guild I belong to, let's just call him "Mr MaBoots (Not His Name)", that ALWAYS has an open microphone.
I blocked this person after saying IN the guild channel that his mic was open constantly, and getting no reply...having a person's name on your screen the entire time you play is not only distracting, but also "ruins my immersion" .

So, earlier I noticed this person's name on my screen again.
I thought to myself; "Self ('Cause that's what I call Me.), I thought you blocked him?".
So, I went to block him again, and get the message; "This person is already blocked.".
I didn't have time right then to check to see if he was still blocked on my PS4, so I just left guild chat.

So...I was just in game and...there he is again, in guild chat.
So, I try to block him using the ingame block feature.
It says; "This person is already blocked.".
I check my PS4 block list and guess what?
He is blocked!
But, he is STILL on my screen, and I can STILL hear him...chewing something?

So, I went to my PS4 block list, and removed the block on him.
I go back into the game...still on my screen...still...chewing?
I block him AGAIN.
It works!
Blessed silence!

So, I figure I will try an experiment.

I close the game, and restart it.
He IS still blocked in the game.

I restart my PS4.
He IS still blocked in the game.

So, I ask myself; "What is different about today?".
Ah-HA!
A server restart!

So...my conclussion is...


TL/DR:
Do not count on your "console block" getting rid of annoying players, because everytime the servers go down, or have a maintenance, the block list on your console stops working In Game.

But, it sounded crunchy...I hope it wasn't crunchy cheese.
