i have some quetions, it true or not?

1) more ppl - more chance to summon one of the Molag Bal's generals
2) if you close all anchor pinions in the end of all waves of mobs - chance for general increased
3) if you close all anchor pinions at one moment - chance increased too

Myth to all. It's RNG. Some people get superstitious about it, because it happened once. But the generals have popped for people soloing a dolmen and there does not appear to be a correlation to increasing the chances from doing any of the above.

I agree that it is random. I did dolmen solo in shadowfen and got one of the generals, and I saw multiple times 5-7 people closing dolmen with usual boss at the end.

I've actually had better luck going solo and using the pinions at random times during the fight then with any of these "strategies."

But that's luck, it's total rng.

I think it is hilarious when I see a group at a dolmen and there are people shouting not to close the pinions because it increases the chance for a boss. There is always someone who does it anyway, the boss still drops.

Random is random.


I understand people like to think that there is a pattern to follow, but it's really just placebo.

It's like the rituals baseball players go through before going up to the plate. None of it actually increases the odds of doing anything, it just makes the player feel better/more confident.

Yeh, ground out that Generals achievement before dyes came out. Solod a lot of them, had help at others. No difference in Boss showing up whether you use the pins or not. I silently laugh at those that believe superstitions and sometimes tell them to do a Bosmer dance 3 times around the chest before opening it for better loot...lol

Besides, we're talking about ZOS here, really don't think they would get such a mechanic right anyway.

I like to leave pinions to the end just because then you know all are done blah blah. If you get really low on resources (which at high lvls when does that happen?) by all means pop for recharge - otherwise I leave for anyone to use for the ach.
