Very good work here, it'll help lock out the elitists. I, for one, started a trade guild again, and I am nothing but sick of every guild doing the "ohmygerd my head will explode if I don't get the exact same kiosk again!" thing and dropping 500k every week. Servers go down, they come back up Soon(tm ZOS, all rights reserved), and if I'm lucky enough to be on I might be able to find an empty kiosk somewhere in the booneys.
It's absolute crap that I keep getting 150k, 250k, 300k, returned to the guild bank week after week. It has been nearly a year since this broken system appeared, six months since a group of GMs got together to lock smaller guilds out of the big cities and shut down all discussion that doesn't benefit THEM. A month after b2p, folks are looking around and saying "This game is just as broken as when I left."
A quote from one frustrated player sums up my feelings: "Retextured Senche mounts are not reason enough for me to stay."
We're all in the same boat mate, you have to bid high to win.

No, we're not all in the same boat. First of all, not all guilds have 5 million to plunk down for a guild trader. Second, most of the big guilds have a longstanding habit of bidding almost nothing for their slots and relying on the threat of retaliation to dissuade bidders. Third, not all guilds are the big happy trade guilds with steady income.
I could go on like that, but my main complaint is how broken the system is and how complacent ZOS has been about making even the smallest improvements.
Retaliation? Lol what are they going to do? I think you're just making that up.

Yeah, because people who insist on having the same kiosk every week are totally above infiltrating your guild, identifying your resources on hand and bidding history, and using that to oust you from what they see as *their* kiosk that they've been picking up for nothing.

Making it up? You claim to run the server's oldest trade guild. I'm done wasting my time with you.
So people who insist on having the same trader every week will go out of their way to outbid a guild that has a different trader?
Makes perfect sense!
Yes, and to outbid by just enough. Last week I caught another guild snooping in on my guild bank; the GM left the guild on Friday and immediately withdrew the sum of my guild bank's funds, plus another 30k, from their guild bank (of course, putting it back in Sunday night and bidding just above my operating funds).

But hey, if you like sneaky spies, I can play that game. I was the one who first noticed, after update 3, that the API posts the guild trader bids and associated data; pretty easy when I'm writing guild history addons. Kept my mouth shut as a courtesy, but if you're totally cool with that sort of thing...

I think it is a totally rediculous system, even worse than the games twenty years ago had where traders sat around all over the place offering their stuff.
Every game I have plated lately was moving forward, ESO unfortunately insists on some outlandish system and even though there were some improvements a lot of it is still hairbrained. Like for instance also not having closed instances and you wander around dungeons trying to work out which mob you missed because five other players are also killing stuff.
Additionally looks like every cluster except The Hollow City had at least one trader change hands. I also notice the names of a few guilds I recognize have returned after a week or more without a trader.Cool! Thank you very much!
So there are 50 guilds this week that did not have a trader last week, and 23 that are at a different trader than they had last week (probably for various reasons) out of 146. So 50% of traders have a different guild from what they had last week and of those, 35% have a guild that didn't have a public store last week at all.
