New Quest Ideas for Cyrodiil

So it occurred to me that questing in Cyrodiil could be A LOT more dynamic and interesting if some new types of questing were added.

There are a lot of mobs and NPC's that 'reside' in Cyrodiil that could be utilized in ways other then just a quest objectives to kill.

So currently there are quest-hubs where you can complete 10 quests on a daily basis. These are your straight forward run-of-the-mill quests. Nothing special, nothing out of the ordinary.

What if some other quest-hubs were added that allow you to ally with that areas NPC's or Mobs temporarily?

For Example yesterday while heading North from Chalman Keep to Dragonclaw Keep, I rode by several Giants and their Mammoths. What if it were possible to do some quests for the Giants and temporarily gain their assistance for a siege at Dragonclaw? What if it were possible to do some quests for the Giants to gain their assisstance for defense AGAINST a siege at Dragonclaw?

Completeing the quest would give an option at the Quartermaster for the Guild that CLAIMED the Keep to use that 'resource' for defense of the Keep. When activated a flag would be raised high above the keep and the Giants would approach the opposing army and hurl rocks at the at them whilst their Mammoths would charge through their ranks, trampling troops and siege equipment.

OR

an NPC at the Giant's camp could have the Giants and their Mammoths travel with your party, team, or raid group to begin sieging the castle. The giants could stand in the back ranks hurling stones at the walls while the Mammoths bashed against the Gates or Postern wall/door.

Different NPC's in different areas around different keeps and towers could offer differing abilities and tactics for the faction that chooses to do their quests and temporarily ally with them.

Orcs could be used as troop fodder, brashly crashing through the enemy lines in waves of bodies. Vampires might have better effectiveness during a nighttime siege, possibly having a surprise advantage due to stealth. Trolls could be utilized as brute force tactics after an outer or inner wall is breached to clear a courtyard of opposition. There are so many other possibilities and tactics available.

Some of these troops could be summoned to the keep to temporarily and patrol the outside or inside of the walls for defense, helping when an attack comes.

Maybe each of these areas that the NPC's are in could be regions tied in with a specific Keep or Tower, and be captured by Factions. When a keep or tower is flipped to a particular faction, that region must also be flipped in order to take advantage of the region's NPC's. These regions can be flipped back and forth depending upon which faction is doing the quests.

Any thoughts on this idea?

Man as much as I really really like this sort of immersion in PvP , I just can't imagine how Wheels could pull it off . You put PvE and PvP together in a idea that I actually really liked . That's a first for me . So I won't give my typical gtfopveincyrodiil response at all this time .

    Well thank you!

You know...GW2 WvWvW has done it...smaller scale mind you...but it works. It CAN work in ESO.
