Plenty of players on the NA server when I'm on in peak US times. I can't say I have really noticed a difference in player numbers in the pre-VR levels

There was a thread recently about the game being on top of UK sales chart (if i remember correctly). So i don't think it will be dying anytime soon.

Game is fine. Real life on the other hand...

But don't go by trends of negative posts on the forums. They come and go, as people's moods tend to ebb and flow like the tides, swinging from manic to depressive, hopeful to hopeless, positive to negative...

There are issues, but on balance this is still the best game on the market in MANY categories.

Even stamina build balancing issues are only really an issue in trials. I have been enjoying the heck out of a Dual Wield/2H nightblade build lately, and it rocks for questing, dolmens, delves, and dungeons.

I don't really care about trials anyway. Stupid mechanic really, trying to rush the clock even if it means exploiting and skipping to do it (though they nerfed a lot of that nonsense). I WOULD like some of the trial GEAR, but... eh.

I still feel I can play how I want and play well, in pretty much anything I care about doing.

If this game is dying then i most be blind for where every i go i see people i think OP have misfortune play on odd hours for i have see a increase on player after ESO went live on Steam if this game is dying i don't see anything point at that on EU server.

But funny thing is that people was scream on this forum at start that this game have to F2P or it will dying really fast and that WildStar was game everyone have been wait for but lately it seem that WildStar have lost a lot of player and in article on mmorpg.com the wrote that Jeremy Gaffney stepping down as Carbine President which is not good sign.

So if i compare ESO with WS i think we here at ESO is doing really good atm :)

It may not FEEL as populated as it was at launch, but there's plenty of people in the world. They're all just a bit more spread out now as opposed to all being roughly in the same areas in the beginning.

Sure, there have been a fair amount of people that have probably quit, but ESO has also managed to recruit that many more players in the meantime. Probably due to it being on Steam now. ...damn people and their dogs... lol

I doubt this game is going to die anytime soon.

It really sort of depends on where you go. Go to Craglorn do a group dungeon and you might never see anyone other then your group.

Go to non VR content and you will have so many people in your group dungeon you might just walk through it and not fight a mob.

I think that in this post post-modern world, no MMO has truly been established unless someone makes a "Is game x dead?" or "Will game x get killed by newer game y?" post on its forums.

Now we know that ESO's here to stay. Phew! :relieved:

    nah , pretty much irrelevant.

The game uses the mega server tech , should fill zones for the most part and so on.

In the end , you wont really think the game is empty even if there arent many players there to begin with , exactly because it is not hard to fill an instance with you in it usually.

I thinkESO is doing fine atm. My PvE guild has had a few new players join in the last few weeks and some of our players who left for WS have said thy're thinking about coming back. Also, whereever i go in Tamriel I always meet other players which is awesome!

Also found this Top 20 on the net. Seems ESO is sitting pretty at the top while WS has dropped from 5th to 18th.
