Werewolf Berserker bug, fur color

Apparently berserkers are supposed to be black wolves with red eyes. Either there is a bug with this, or it is only for me. I just wanted to inform others of this problem. Because we definitely need another problem with the werewolf skill line to stack on top of zenimax's head(s)

Who told you Beserkers should be black? No, they stay the same color and I have not found any official release that Beserkers are supposed to be another color. It is not a bug.

It is however highly demanded on this forum for multiple fur colors to be available for the werewolf form, and Beserkers being the black fur model is one of the most demanded.

Loremaster's Archive: An Accounting of Werewolves, briefly describes the berserker "The ones with darker fur use fast strikes and ragged claws to tear into you." Which could be a reference to the werewolf transformation morph that 'causes the fur to change color.

I will share a paragraph of The Loremaster's Archive that describes the werewolf pelts.
"Hallveig God-Hater has read the tale of their hides: “It seems to me that their pelts say something about them. The ones with darker fur use fast strikes and ragged claws to tear into you. Every now and then I’ve glimpsed a white one. They’re usually surrounded by a pack, howling and driving them into a frenzy in combat.”

Perhaps Berserkers are supposed to have black fur with bright red eyes or they could just be teasing us.

They are supposed to have Black Fur. The Ultimate icon changes to a Black Werewolf with red eyes if you choose the morph.

    See difference here: http://esohead.com/skills/32455-werewolf-transformation

To the right is the pre morph icon and to the left are post morph icons for Pack leader and Berserker respectively. Note the fur color differentiation between all three.

I've also made a thread asking about this, and it's obviously intended for them to be black with red eyes (I also got a little mad when reading that in the lore master's archive) but what's really disappointing is we KNOW they have the models for them (I provided links in my thread, too lazy to go back and find them) like the wolf who takes you to hircine in the hunting grounds.

    They're supposed to be black.

1.) Morph icon. Pack leader has a white werewolf icon, and thus transforms into a white werewolf. Berserkers have a black werewolf icon. Do you really think they'd have one morph that completely changes the color of your ww form and not the other?

2.) The Texture already exists. Think back to the hunting grounds, the "pack leader" ironically, was a berserker with black fur and red eyes. There is also a screenshot showing such a texture alongside the default one (Ok not so lazy anymore http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131203190744/elderscrolls/images/0/09/Two_Werewolves.jpg)

3.) Almost if not all morphs change the appearance of their respective skill. Why would a morph depicting a different colored werewolf not change the form when the other morph does?

4.) Finally, as others have already stated in this thread, even the lore master's archive says that berserkers are supposed to have "darker hides"

NPC textures, lore references and morph icons are NOT proof of intent to add the black werewolf model to the Beserker morph. It is highly likely that they intended for Beskerers to be black but they're not. The lack of black Beserkers is due to them not adding it, not because of a bug.

Zenimax has not released any official news about the Beserker being a black werewolf model. Therefore, all this thread is pointing out is speculation.

If someone told the original poster that Beserkers are supposed to be black, then they lied to him/her. If s/he assumed it based off of these references, then s/he was speculating just the same.

Yes, I would like to see Beserkers become the black furred model but that was not the question or issue that the original poster brought up.

Possibly, but it doesn't make much sense to have one morph reflect the color change that is clearly visible on the icon while the other does not.

I agree. There are enough hints to suggest that it was likely their intent to make the playable werewolf Beserkers to have the black furred model but without anything definitive statement from Zenimax then it cannot be said for sure if that was their intent. For now, all we know that Beserkers are not black furred werewolves. I just hope that they will add that model later on in a content patch (and possibly some other werewolf models).

It also mirrors the skin change that Pack Leader gets. So I am inclined to believe this is an unintentional bug.

    All bugs are unintentional :P

This however, is most likely something that got overlooked when it came to implementing it. Say, unlike lycanthropy actually giving something for the skill point investment. After all, its an ulti which requires 16 SPs to be fully functional and easily gets outstripped in effectiveness by any other ultimate.

    Enough proof for me.

Both morph icons suggest skin changes. The pack leader icon is white, and when you pick it up your werewolf gets white fur. The berserker icon is black, and when you pick it up... you still have the same brown fur as the unmorphed werewolf form.

This needs to be fixed. Zenimax has already made fixes like this in the past so that it is easier for players in pvp to identify what morph of an ability their opponent is using via visual choreography - almost every morph for an ability in the game has a distinctly different animation or appearance.
