Dailies for the Mages and Fighters Guilds please.

So, given that the net two DLC's are going to introduce two major factions from Elder Scrolls lore, The Thieves Guild, and then the Dark Brotherhood, I would like to see an introduction to dailies for these two Guilds, and for the Mages Guild and for the Fighters Guild.

They can be mini quests, fight a boss, find some lore, explore X place, all for rewards in the same kind of vein as the Crafting daily rewards or the Wrothgar rewards.

Magic armour/weapon based rewards for Mages Guild Quests

Heavy armour/swords/maces etc rewards for Fighters Guild

Medium armour/daggers/Bows etc for Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood dailies.

Or something approximating this.

Make the guilds useful, ZOS! Make them mean something. Make the world feel even more radiant and alive.
Sweetrolls for all!

I'd love to see this, for the reward though I'd add in a dash of exp for the guild you are doing the daily for.

Just a little help towards maxing out both guilds skill lines. Sort of like when you turn in an enchanter writ you receive a little exp boost to the overall skill line level.

I always thought the FG and MG should have something to do after their quests are over. Dailies would be a great way to keep the guilds relevant, rather than being something we joined just to get a couple of passives and buffs.

ye i do agree with that part of easyer leveling of the trrelines with it. im a PvE player but on consoles which don't have addons its pretty hard to get mages guild to lvl 10 normally i end up at lvl 8.5 - 9 when i finish cadwell's gold and doing all quest within them

Quests don't help the skill lines, just find the books.

    Google lore book locations

    am right there for you.

There's enough lore books to get to level 10 without setting a foot in cadwells silver or gold.

But if that's your thing I'm ok with that just so long as the crafting motifs aren't part of it. I already feel like I'm missing out if I don't take an hour to do all the writs and daily's.

I think I made a thread once about making dailies for your faction. Thing is we do need more dailies to keep PvE from running into a dead end content-wise and Wrothgar is helping so far!

Dailies basically give us "containers" to open that have an item or items inside. If we get more dailies they would do the same. Undaunted Pledges are the only things designed to have such differing rewards, and that is because we delve into said dungeons for treasure and the like.

Yeah it would not be like Undaunted dailies with gold keys etc. More like the Wrothgar concept of daily rewards, and the Crafting writs.

The last thing we need is more RNG gold key madness haha.

As @Nestor said, I was always a little perturbed that the usefulness of these guilds ended with their respective questlines, and now we just have empty Mage Guilds and Fighters Guilds all over Tamriel that serve no purpose.

Let's make them useful. They put a gorgeous new Mages Guild in Orsinium. Let's give it some content rather than just standing there looking pretty!

    I really like this idea.

I kind of like the idea of tokens of some sort - the things in IC that you need "60 of" to open chests seem fun to me. Although partly that's because I don't care about the loot, just the chance for a motif page.

I'd also like to see more repeatable quests that make sense as repeats - IC was good for this, in particular the 'rescue civilians' is logical in that there are always going to be more people to rescue, and the 'reset traps' also made sense for the same sort of reason.

Cyrodiil's repeatable quests don't make sense. Once I've killed the boss of X gang - it seems silly to do it again. Or once I've re-buried whats-her-name that got raised into a lich - why in the world would it happen again... and again.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Would be nice to have maybe a token system for them. And a chance at some of the rarer gear at V16 if not a token system, for example for Mages Guild the shroud of the lich set etc.

I hope you don't mind if I drop in here with my previous suggestions for Guild dailies :)
    Enodoc wrote: »
Fighters Guild dailies for destroying Mini-Anchors:
Something akin to the existing Dark Fissures, but in the style of Oblivion's Oblivion gates. You are tasked to go to a Dark Fissure location where instead of a Fissure, a Mini-Anchor has spawned (anyone who is not on the quest would just see a Fissure, as normal), and you need to defeat the enemies there. Once defeated, activate the pinion to be pulled into a delve-sized Coldharbour area. Fight through and defeat the boss to reach the Mooring Pinion. In addition to the immediate quest reward, you can stock up on Mooring Pinions to exchange for rewards. The assets for Mini-Anchors already exist; I think they are (or were? not sure if they're still around) part of a Dremora's spell arsenal. BdV4n7l.jpg

Mages Guild dailies for collecting Lost Lore:
A quest to go recover a random lorebook (but not a purple one) from a delve. The book would be in a chest located behind the delve boss. In addition to the immediate quest reward, you also get some token that you can stock up on to exchange for rewards later on.
    Enodoc wrote: »
What we also need are some solo dailies (that are interesting enough and rewarding enough to be worth repeating). All PvE-zone dailies at the moment (apart from Crafting) are for groups.
    • Fighters Guild Dailies: You're sent out to shut down a mini dark anchor. These could occur in the same random places as the existing dark fissures, but you need to go into Coldharbour to find the pinions (a la Oblivion's Oblivion Gates). If you're not on the quest, you get the standard dark fissure which disappears after defeating the boss. If you are, you get to enter the mini anchor after defeating the boss and experience a delve-sized dungeon on your way to the pinions. In addition to the standard reputation/experience/gold reward, you get to keep the Anchor Pinion, which can be exchanged for gear. The more you collect before you exchange them, the better gear you receive.
    • Mages Guild Dailies: You're sent to a delve in the region to recover lorebooks to be brought back and translated (a la Skyrim's Shalidor's Insights). If you're not on the quest, the delve acts like normal and the chest containing the book cannot be found. The chest would either be in the main boss room, or in a side room with a mini-boss. In addition to the standard reputation/experience/gold reward, you get a Gem Fragment, which can be exchanged for items. The more you collect before you exchange them, the better items you receive.
    • City Guard Dailies: (Not very interesting, but would give you a bit more gold and XP if you want to go grinding.)
      • [x] creature is harassing [y] location. Go and kill [n] of them.
      • [x] criminal has escaped and is hiding at [y]. Go and apprehend them.
      • [x] item has been stolen, and has been taken to [y]. Go and retrieve it.
      • [x] citizen has been kidnapped and taken to [y]. Go and rescue them.
The Justice System, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood would add some more opportunities for dailies.

You know, come to think of it we could use a repeatable quest that we can do as many times a day as we want... Something along the lines of your City Guard concept would work there!
Agreed, the City Guard quests would be good for that. They would also be good for Community Service, if they ever decide to introduce that as an alternative to paying off your bounty (ie, work it off instead).

Make the world feel even more radiant and alive.

there are daily fighters guild quests in cyrodill

If you get the perk and they are really lame.
