Unable To Fight In The Middle of Battle

I was wondering if I'm the only one who has had the the occasional battle anomaly where after a skirmish with a NPC is initiated you can no longer fight back or use abilities. This happens to me once in a while and all I can do is block. If I try to sprint away, my character slooooowly moves away from the threat and 99% of the time results in my death. Anyone?

not sure if your issue is the same as mine was but i had something similar happen in beta...
for now the best I can tell you is try command+tab (if mac) and I THINK control-tab (for PC) and quickly do it again...other things that might work would be hitting esc 2 times, going to your mail and exiting, anything else that does a soft ui reset...

if that doesnt work and you are walking slow you can try rolling away which usually is not affected by speed decrease (double click W A S D)

As an advice, until it gets fixed, if you open a menu, any menu, let's say map for example, then you can fight and activate again your skills.

same here my crytsal fragment animation gets stuck can only do skills after alt tab or alt enter, its new never had this before

Thank you so much for the info because THAT was my biggest beef with the game. I would usually die then log out/in and it would be fixed.

same stuck expirience...without any reason in fight only block
remain work.

Yeah, only that that doesn't always work. I've had the situation where I couldn't fight back any longer, could sheath my weapons, could draw my weapons again. Tried the mail button, tried the map button, but each time I got back in the game, I couldn't swing my ax, nor use the abilities.

I solved it by doing a /reloadui

Happening to me too.

There's no better time for a UI reset than in the middle of a fight.
