That's the way it should be handled.

What crisis do you speak of? I could literally care less about some random in game companion that some people have access to and others don't. Entitlement mentality at it's worst.
And that's literally my point. It's unbelievable that sooooooo many threads would be made with some yelling in anger at ZoS over a stupid campanion pet. It's not really any different irl unfortunately. If some movie theatre was offering $1.00 off popcorn last month and people bring in an obviously expired newspaper, they sure as hell still expect their $1.00 off. You can even point out that the coupon expired and they just look at you with that blank stare of stupidity.SG_Celerrimus wrote: »What crisis do you speak of? @DeLindsay Well, for the whole "The Wolfhound Crisis" title, I just thought the name sounded catchy, so I threw it up there.
Alot of people seem to be misunderstanding my reasoning for this thread. There were alot of threads popping up in regards to this pet being Steam exclusive, so I made this thread, came up with a list of reasons, tried to work logic and reasoning into it, worked through all the possible solutions I thought of, and discussed it a bit.
The whole point was to try and come up with a solution to make everyone happy with the situation with the pet. I personally am disappointed, but not to the point of being "/emo" or "unsubbing" as was said in earlier posts.
I don't understand all that whine, its the same whine at WOW with pets there. Seriously guys, its a cosmetic pet - it doesn't do anything.
If you seriously get hurt by such a cosmetic goodie, it might be a wise idea to ask yourself if you might not take gaming a bit to serious. Look at our world, we are close to a big war and all people cry about is a few pixels in a video game - just disgusting.

I don't believe that I have been refuted, nor even that I made a statement of fact which could be refuted.
I join a gym, three months later the gym has a promotion with a local sporting goods store, buy your gym membership at the store and you get a free t-shirt; I'm not seeing where I would have cause to be upset that existing members are not given a t-shirt, even if that specific t-shirt were not available for purchase outside of the promotion. Obviously in this case the promotional item is virtual and therefore not limited in quantity, but still.

LOL betrayal.claytonjhouserb14_ESO wrote: »A lot of you are missing the point here, as I said In an earlier post it is an utter betrayal that their most loyal subbers are overlooked for new players when it is the vet players who have been begging for a dog but now only new players get it? Also, some people say they don't care about the pet, that's fine, but I bet if ZOS said anyone who writes an email or a ticket will get a dog, most of such people would write immediately as well.
I hate pets they stop me in banks and make me get of my horse.
So no, please dont have bloody dogs and wolves stand everywhere and block my way and trip me up please
I have the imperial edition since early release and think apart from the horse the rest you get with it is junk.
My opinion, no hard feelings.
First, you can't be sure the EP CAN be added to the Steam account but assuming you can your observation fails at what you posted it for as it equally applies to new non-Steam accounts.Funny how people say the Steam users will never be able to play any race in any alliance. Yeah, I mean it's not that you can buy the Explorer's Pack in several stores online or anything like that. Even my friend, who bought the game a bit more than a month ago in a shop, got an edition with key in it so even some shops still have the keys..

Those pointing out this Steam offer doesn't include the EP feature are perfectly correct, because they're replying to ignorant posters who are whining that the Steam offer DOES include it, which patently it doesn't.

So, what can ZOS do to amend this situation so everyone walks away happy, or discontent is lessened down?
