I personally am tired of seeing all of the gold farmers and exploiters in this game. I personally spend atleast half of my available game time putting in tickets to help correct the situation and it only seems to get worse. You can post on forums here but all you get in people saying, "Oh its an MMO , you'll always have hackers" etc etc. Yes youre right it is an MMO, but they fact is there are NO mmo's out there that have the amount of hackers , exploiters and gold spammers as this game does. Not even World of Warcraft ! Do something about it ESO or this game isn't going to have a serious community for long.

Every game in the last few years has started this way. Then the devs get it under control and it's a small problem after that. Never gone but a small problem after that. And yes. Wow had this problem once upon a time too. Wow has had years to put thier systems in place to combat this. Eso has had.....weeks?

Honestly, the more posts on this subject, the better. Perhaps ZOS will get the point. I'm with the OP on this one. If we wants to make another post on this issue, he has my support.

Well done, another post on this dead horse.

It is always your choice in life:

    1. Behave like you did and don't have fun and be occupied with worrying and flaming and then reporting bots 50% of your time.

    2. Have fun. Ignore bots and just play.

Maybe you will find a way to 2.
Good luck on your life's journey.

I quess you have never played GW2 on launch or Aion. Go queue for some random bgs in WoW and see how invested they are with bots, esp on eu servers.

FWIW, i made a new alt last night and i hardly saw any goldspam nor node teleport hackers like I used to see.

They are doing something about bots, it's just not snapping with your fingers and they're all gone. It takes time.

And what do you do when 2 is blocked because there are too many bots with which to contend?

If you want something changed for the better ,l walking away from the problem doesn't solve anything. making your self heard is the only effective way to keep those in power in the know that there is still a problem. So i reject your statement as pure folly.

Ive seen Aion, Swtor and GW2 launches, never have I experienced so many gold spammers and boss farmers in all those years Ive played MMOs (Longer than the ones Ive stated). Yes they will at some point eventually become less but considering this ESO could have learned from its predecessors and implemented a better security system.

Exactly. Every game in the last few years has had this problem. Every.

So why is it that every new game gets caught with their pants down on this?

It's like you see people walk up a hill and every person in front of you gets hit by a rotten egg. So what do you do when it's your turn?

I know right, its almost as if ESO has hired these people to post on these topic in order to make the problem in the game seem like its not a problem at all. Nothing like combating a problem with misinformation right ESO ?

No one says it's ok, it only means that it isn't that easy to get rid of bots. It's always easy to stand on the sideline and type some easy "fixes".

Why should we as a gaming community continue to pay for games that don't offer a solution to these problems. It makes no sense. We are all paying money for this game, and no maybe your 14.99 is just a drop in the bucket, but sooner or later those drops will add up to an ocean and will you continue to ignore the problem at that point ?

Bots are common in every game, ZOS does a fantastic job stopping them you should all look at how little other games do to stop them.

*checks his email to see if he's got his mail inviting him to work for ZOS yet*

On a serious note... there are bots in every game, there are gold sellers in every game. Should that mean ZOS get a free ride? No, because in this game they're impacting content more than others. The difference with ESO is that with public dungeons they're far more visible to the games population.
However they know there are bots, I can link you all the official statements if you like? There is even one from Matt Firor now.

If you have some kind of magical coding bullet to forever make bots vanish from MMO games please by all means give it to ZOS, hell patience that and make millions from every MMO company out there.

You're right bots are in every game, but lets not be fan boys for just one instance and ask , why after years of MMO development has there been no solution to this. I tell you why, because even boters and farmers have to pay a sub of 14.99 and purchase the game !

You're sick of people wanting a solution to a problem ? Where's the logic in that.
  • Koltiros1005b14a_ESO
This isn't the way to get that solution, they know about it, they're trying to stop it as evidenced by GMs popping in certain dungeons, do they need to come up with a better way? Sure, they do. But beating a dead horse with explicitly named titles that mock the game is not the way to do it.

Threats like this are very necessary in the battle to take back the game from the botters. If anything, you should provide support to the OP and others who take up arms and fight this battle.

If your sick of these posts, don't read them, don't post in them. You may have given up, but we will continue to fight until the bitter end.
