I agree, they need a nerf. I was forced to kill 2 of them for "The Storm's Call" quest (Veteran Rank, Malabal Tor), as a bow Nightblade I couldn't do jack all, and there was no one else around... I finally managed to defeat them after a very long kite fight up, down and over the stairs...
I've seen them also totally wreck small groups on Dolmen's, 2 man a Dolmen? fun! But if Storm Atronachs spawn? good luck, you're going to need another 4+ people to clear it!7 -

Are the stormies in a solo and I mean solo quest instance? if yes they could be tweaked eventually.
If not, maybe, just maybe the veteran content is designed that you can not do anything solo and that you will be forced (in a positiv meaning) to get some buddys to beat certain enemies.
at least it's a multiplayer game3 -

They are immune to stun, immune to root, immune to snare, are elite and they have a ranged snare they use often and it's unavoidable unless you're a dodge guru... and these are NORMAL Storm Atronach's! Not even the bosses at the end of solo quests are this hard\immune as the Storm Atronach trash getting to them is, and they are a bigger challenge at a Dolmen then the final boss\spawns, see the problem?

here we have absolutely no way to dodge.
currently im in the rank 10 zone where i need to kill all the atronachs, fire, frost and storm.
Fire was always DD and fragile - they are, no problems.
Frost was always the slow tank in other TES games...here they have 8k hp and heavy hitting DoT attacks.
Storm was mostly CC, but here they have TWICE the hp of a frost atronach, more area nukes, CC and are immune to everything...thats jsut OP5 -
Kaskako✭✭Too many mini bosses and simply most mobs are vulnerable to CC, anything that can be CC'd is an easy kill, so I do enjoy coming up to some mobs that cannot be cc'd and make a fight more challenging.
Storm Atronachs are indeed too powerful to be included into a solo quest imo, but i wouldn't want to see them nerfed. There are too few mobs to be "afraid" of. I can actually only think of Storm Atronachs... Trolls and Daedroth are cc'able and then theres the "doshia" style mobs (forget their names) which are terribly easy to solo.
So i'd actually like to see more storm atronachs... Simply not made part of quests but more like obstacles to be avoided in dungeons or during other quests.3 -
CTraveler✭✭✭I personally like the challenge Storm Atronachs provide. They provide nice Friction as mobs with Special HP bars are known to do. And I've NEVER seen a Storm Atro in the wild that didn't have a Special HP bar, they're pretty much like Trolls in that regard: all of their spawns are Specials, and their power levels should rightly justify that.5
