The WHAT now? Is that how some people were able to sell Tempering Alloys by the truckload? How many people knew about this and didn't say anything, unlike bringing it up here?

Zenimax should fix it, so it cannot occur again. Players who played part in it should be banned, and then the whole situation should be forgotten from there.

They cannot take items back that are already used, they cannot stop the currency already spent without the use of a roll back. As someone that didn't purchase anything from other players since the game launched, and have not played part in this in any form, I would really really hate it is my progression was set back as a way of trying to resolve this.

Stop the problem, ban those responsible and move on.

Gamebreaker did an article on this earlier that explains how this was apparently a problem since before pre-launch. I personally was not made aware of this problem until I was scouting the forums today to find out why the guild banks were offline (2 hours before ZOS announced them going offline in game).

I think the people that have done this should have everything deleted. Everything. Worse offenders should be banned.

No roll back though. That would just annoy everyone.

Players duping should have their accounts and any accounts linked to them banned. Duped items and gold procured from it removed from the economy.

Absolutely. Unfortunately it is not likely that they will find nearly all of the offenders.

Full rollback, get rid of the bots and the duped crap and 1st day of early access VR40s who exploited the hell out of the Bosses that now offer 0 XP when grinded.

thing about bans in MMOs is...the offenders NEVER IN A THOUSAND YEARS did anything wrong. it was all *insert MMO company running the game here* fault who wrongfully suspended or banned them.

Yesterday, we identified an item duping bug in ESO that some players chose to exploit. We acted quickly, and have since fixed the issue. We have banned the game account(s) for those who abused the exploit.

I would wipe every inventory item from the game....and gold...

in order to appease the people who will lose their hard earned coin/items zmax can give all current and non banned accounts free lifetime respecs....

in the long run this will be a worthwhile solution and it's something likely doable by zmax

People who were playing legitimately shouldn't be punished by having their items removed or their gold taken away. I worked VERY HARD for my 50k ty, I did every quest, sidequest, zone thing, sold my BUTT off and stayed up pretty much 24/7 for the first week and a half of launch to get that much. Why should I be penalized because someone cheated?

No rollback. Suspend all the accounts that you suspect of cheating, disable whatever the duplication bug was- and then have a GM talk to folks because a LOT OF PEOPLE were suspended without having duplicated anything(One person I know got suspended and doesn't even know why, he probably bought a dup item from a player). Or have an appeal system or something.

My money and items represent a TIME investment. Time I can't get back.

Anyone who feels they got banned unjustly can appeal through contacting customer service.

The people who were duplicating should have the items in their inventory and bank revoked and then banned.

The people who unknowingly used the items that they bought from them shouldn't be affected because they had no idea that they were part of it.
