Is it normal that CS asks for your secret question and answer?

I had an issue with the entitlements, and submitted a question to CS.

The first thing CS asked was my name, birth date, secret question and last four digits of my credit card. This seems massively invasive. I gave it to him, but honestly, I'm considering whether it's a rogue CS agent, trying to steal accounts.

Yes this is normal. You normally are only required to give them one of those. I normally just give them my DOB. It's for account verification.

It sounds pretty legit unless they ask for your login info.
Even if some rogue employee or a scammer has access to that information, i doubt he can make use of it. Can't buy anything with only four credit card digits.
