So I launched the launcher and start downloading the new patch. For some reason everything stopped. Had to re-boot the PC. When I re-opened the launcher, I had to do repair. I tried to repair several times to no avail.

I then go to knowledge base about the 209 error and deleted depot.version, game_player.version and vo_en.version. All three of these was only a few kb in size when II emptied the recycle bin.

Now I am downloading 17 gb download. Is this correct or am I downloading a lot of missing updates? even though all other updates worked fine until now.

    I think I have a similar problem...

Downloaded the new patch... beyond 100% ! It went all the way to 133% (the bleu floodbar went over its boundary and wrapped arround from the left.
Then I got the error 209, clicked 'repair'.
    Currently verifying (around 40%).
IF it starts to download 17GIG, I will shut it down.

Please ZOS, check your update-packages before you roll them out !

EDIT : I'm lucky, no download for me. After the repair, the play button appeared. And I'm in the game right now.

Once again, the launcher botches a patch. Error 209 and a repair scan not fixing the problem. I have been through this several times already, and I am sick of it. Fix your game, ZOS. Every one of the last few updates, major or minor, your launcher has failed to update my client correctly, and I have been forced to download everything from scratch several times, at a download speed that is a complete joke.

The workaround I learned a few weeks ago (delete all .version files, start a reinstall but cancel it immediately, restore the .version files and relaunch) worked this time, but why do I need to jump through those hoops?
