Launcher stuck at "Loading" again, same issue as patch 1.3

DennaGayne
I just wanted to let you know that this morning when I tried using the launcher (which I only use on patch days now) it had the same issue that it had during the beta, and following patch 1.3. Using the same workaround that I found after that patch, it worked to update my game files. So, you might want to let the support teams know that apparently they once again need to fix the patch manifest file to allow the launcher to recognize external hard drives as valid file paths. If anyone else is having this issue, and you keep your game files and launcher files on an external hard drive, you will need to move both file folders to your C: drive, then run the launcher in order to get it to recognize the files and properly update your game. After it has been updated you can move your game files back to your external drive and launch the game directly rather than using the launcher. This should allow you to play until such time as they have fixed this error... again.

I have the exact same problem and i did after patch 1.3 too, that time i just completely reinstalled the game... And i have my launcher/game on an external harddrive too. Thanks for your solution (haven't found anything else valid in solving this problem before, except reinstalling the game) and support didn't know how to fix it either. They really need to check in on this problem, it shouldn't have to be this hard for their customers to update a weekly patch. Again, Thank you Denna! :)

@broer No, but thank you for trying. This isn't an error code at all, this is an issue where the launcher will not progress past the initial "Loading" phase, and never becomes active at all. It has happened before, and it is a problem with the developers using a faulty patch manifest file, so until they update their file, the workaround I posted above works fine for anyone that keeps their game files on external hard drives. Thank you, though, for your assistance!
