JERKINS Bug - Requires Pants & Jerkin to be made - Need a toggle?

Okay.. First off - AWESOME! Thank you for adding this to the game. Love the fact that I can get rid of my dress. PLUS not required to relearn the 8 traits.

Problem(s):
  • No TOGGLE feature to change ROBE > JERKIN (Okay.. wishful thinking, but I'm sure it will generate rage from folks with GOLD Gear - ahem like me)
  • Made a Level 1 Homespun Jerkin and Equipped.... I'm still wearing a ROBE why?
  • ICON for my VR12 Gold "Breechs of the Willows path" is a ROBE too. (my Heavy Armor pants have a pants icon as do the newly made Breeches)
  • No PANTS change appears needed (IE: I don't see the option to create new pants)
  • Made a Level 1 Homespun Breeches - No problem now (2 pcs later)

So it appears in order to get rid of the "DRESS" look you need to make a new pair of BREECHS (Even thou its not a new item) and a new JERKIN (Which would seem to me to make sense w/o a TOGGLE feature).

Quick STATS on my gear just in case that helps:
BOTH Daedric VR12 Gear - Both Legendary "Gold", Both have Kuta Enchantments, Both have Infused Trait, and both are "Willow's Path" set bonus gear.

Heck I don't mind REMAKING one piece of gear to drop the "DRESS LOOK", but making TWO seems a tad odd for something that should have had a TOGGLE.

Question: What about Set Bonus DROPPED Gear? That going to impact the look(s) as well when you get a Warlock Set Bonus Chest piece?

Thank you for the report and feedback, @Inco. Looking into if this is intentional or a bug.

Thanks Jessica! Let me know if you need more details. I think I covered everything. (New level 1 gear I made was using Breton Style I think - doubt that matters)

First off, agree a toggle would be nice, like the Imperial style change thing.

The 'Shirt" option is one to the right of Robe/ - sounds like you simply made a level 1 robe, not a shirt (jerkin)

Not sure what you mean by needing to make new pants - weren't you wearing any before?

I made about 6 different shirts/jerkins last night ranging from level 10 to level 36 without any issues. All had the correct icon and the correct look when worn. Didn't have to make anything else for the look to work correctly.

Maybe I was not clear enough, but I think Jessica understood at least.

No... Please read what I said: I made a "JERKIN" (not a ROBE) - I can read the icons just fine and I know what I made (Even has "JERKIN" in the name).

NEW GEAR MADE works.. that's my point. BUT you shouldn't have to create a new pair of pants and jerkin to remove the ROBE look.

The PANTS issue was I made a JERKIN and equipped, but the DRESS still remained. I made NEW Breeches (Pants) and equipped with the JERKIN and they show up correctly as PANTS (Jerkin). Long story short.. needed to make NEW JERKIN and PANTS (Again - even thou it was not changed).

NOW: It's been mentioned in Zone Chat that DAEDRIC Style seems to create "ROBE PANTS" - hence the icon that appears like a dress and could be the reason the new JERKIN I equipped still had a ROBE look. (Style issue?)

You can clearly see the deadric pants style is skirt-like in the icon, why were you surprised that's what it looked like on? (I hate the daedric look for all clothes and armours, so I've not studied it but the icons are pretty clear)

As I stated, I made multiple different styles, trying to see what different pants and shirts/jerkins would work well together and at no point did I need to make a new set of pants just to see what the top looked like.

You obv don't get what the OP was saying.. Reading comprehension is hard..

So if Daedric is the issue, then making a Daedric Jerkin should "in theory" remove that issue and provide the pants look. Unfortunately, it's not doing that and no new Daedric Breeches option is available.

Back to the original issue I posted. Why not? Might just be a "Daedric Style" thing it appears, but why have the option to make a Daedric Jerkin if it's not going to do the task of removing the robe.

Seems like it's a simple fix (I hope).

I must be misunderstanding. OP makes breton jerkin, couples with daedric pants (which is a dress) and wants it to not be a dress?

If your daedric pants were breton pants to begin with... you'd have no issue. Daedric pants are a dress.

Make breton pants and a daedric jerkin and you should have your problem fixed.

I would agree with you if an OPTION to make Daedric Pants exists, but the creation of Jerkin Chest was "supposed" to allow you to lose the ROBE look.

Meh.. I can wait for it to get fixed or addressed. My characters are pretty much just collecting mats at this point and hanging around crafting stations.

Most the folks I've run with have either bailed out for something else or rolled ALT's to keep from getting bored.
