Wonder what the exact issue was. Seems like a jackhammer approach.
I remember way back in EQ they accidently put an item for 1 station cash <crowns> when it was supposed to be like 1000 <10.00 USD>.
And you could buy and buy and buy.
I get home 6 PM. Start downloading applying patch. Now i cannot log in because servers are down.
I have missed my chance at daily login reward and my Dremora plunder skulls.
Are you just going to shaft me @ZOS_GinaBruno

I say this as an ESO+ member.
Well I would not recommend another MMO that requires sub.. try out GW2, you get ridiculous amount of content for free2play. If you like it, buy it once and have access forever. It is not as good as ESO but something of a change. Similar account bound systems, no heavy emphasis on grind, easy to get into.
FF14 will take you ages to get max lvl and classes are so slow, we are talking 2.5 second global cooldowns and 1-2 ability spam for many many levels. It is not a good MMO to 'try out' unless you plan going all the way to max.
I hop between GW2 and WoW admittedly but my sub there is free cuz I have endless gold.. bouncing between 3 games ensure you never get burned out of 1 lol.
What an odd time for maintenance though.

It could be that. Funny last time Zenimax did an "emergency fix" was because there was something wrong with the crown store. I wouldn't be surprised if it was crown store related. Maybe ESO+ members were able to get something like you said and most of us didn't notice it, but Zeni did.
Looks like it will be a couple hours. But, this does give us time to update the add-ons. Glass half full.

Never take the day off on patch day to play ESO. You don't actually get to play ESO on patch day. They should call it broken server day, so people know to take time off after...

when you say "some fixes", are you talking about the absence of a french translation in the game ?

I can understand ZOS having to do QA and maintenance. But did you *have* to do it during prime playing time for EU players? At least be considerate to your (paying - like me...) customers, and credit us with today's event ticket - since there is no way we can log in and actually *earn* it today...
Thank you.

Just to know, any response ?

In this case, yes.
