Only a few more hours until all the viper/selene/red mountain/veledrith sets are rendered ineffective and everyone will go back to hundings! I look forward to seeing all the cheese players in BGS and cyrodiil tomorrow when all you got left is grated cheese

Don't worry. Selenes is still very effective.

You might think that having a big conal red area will let you avoid selene's. But guess what? As soon as you move out of the cone, the cone will literally change directions to follow you.

What the hell is the point of having a "warning" for impending dmg in an area if the warning area can change?

I don't know. I don't think anyone knows.

I think the issue lies with how they changed the bear on the PTS.

Originally on the PTS they had the cone show 1s before the dmg hit.

But that wasn't enough due to the size of the cone.. you need to rolldodge and then walk a step or two to get out.

So they increased the "warning time" to 1.3s to allow for that extra step.

But selene's itself is a 1s animation. So it hasn't really picked its direction 1.3s prior.. it picks it 1s prior. ZOS was just too lazy to fully fix and lengthen the actual selene's animation, and instead just lengthened the warning sign animation to begin BEFORE the selene's animation has picked a direction.

Combine in some good old fashioned cyrodil lag and you have your heat seeking bear.

I find it harder to dodge now than I did originally, since now I'll instinctively start the dodging process before the damn thing has even picked a direction.

wow that stupid, I'm guessing dodge rolling forward through makes it do a 180 and target you anyway?

@WaltherCarraway according to @Thogard the red prompt follows you because the animation takes 1 second to land and zos allows it to continue targeting for 1.3 seconds. meaning it will now follow you and the area it hits in is now larger so you cant dodge roll out of it. I'm still on morrowind patch so we will see. still not more broken than double invisible bear proc

Safest area to move to is forward and behind the caster. Just like the dungeon boss.

You can still dodgeroll out of it, you just have to time it right. If you have a good ping and dodgeroll immediately, then it'll follow you. It's odd. You'll see what I mean soon enough.

It's really easy to dodge now.

I'll never forget the first day after the nerf, all these stam blades flippin and floppin around with it and couldn't hit anything

I just recently switched from a Skoria proc build to Infused/Knight Slayer.

My armor is still doing all the work.

Tell me, which build doesn't rely on gear to DPS?

How's that working out? I ask because I fought a lightning staff user, and the heavy attack not only was a big tell, it gave plenty of time to heal up/prep for the slayer proc.

I kept thinking a fire staff - though dodgeable, would be less easy to counter?

Then respect brotha,as a medium stamina player I hate much more skoria than other procs because it's so op vs medium builds (inb4 "muh just block": 1 second block means 1sec without regen+block cost,but no one cares since no one plays in medium other than nb,who can just spam cloak and heal)

That what I call a cheese build,like you literally have to just press heavy attack,is that fun? BTW real men uses set that gives you more tooltip damage,the definition of fun for me is learning to line burst to 1shot some shield spammer/healbot,not winning by pressing one button,but zenimax had to lower the ceiling...

What I'm wondering and will test is charged and viper. If the viper dot procs poison effect you get two undodgeable unblockable dots for the price of 1.

If it's op against medium armor but no one uses medium armor, is it even op then? ;P
