I'm after a bit of advice if anyone can help? I ALWAYS wear heavy armour I craft it myself and wear it at all times. My question is should I be wearing light armour to enhance my sneaking and thieving ect when playing through this new content?? If so could someone point me in the right direction of obtaining/crafting a decent set??

Light armor provides no benefit to sneaking.
Medium armor does if you spend the skill points.
Nonetheless, your options for sneaking would probably best be served by Night Mother's Embrace or Darkstride dopped sets, both of which you'll receive from TG quests.

Fasallah's Guile is nice, too, to mitigate trap damage.

Spot on thanks pal, so I would be ok to start the DLC with my current set up and adapt as I go along?

Absolutely. The sneak passives from race, armor, Legerdemain and Thieves Guild skill lines reduce the radius from which you'll be noticed while sneaking if you're in someone's line of sight.

Not having the best sneakiness just means you'll have to be more careful. Also, oftentimes you can simply fight like normal if you don't care.

I think you have it mixed up with Bahraha's Curse.

Fasalla's is the one that puts a healing debuff on enemies

For thieves quests I used these:
7 parts medium armor: 5 of this crafted set, 2+amulet of this one (its only available for low vet ranks, but the bonus is too good to pass. Plus, of course, all medium passives.
Also if youre not a nb, craft some invisibility+speed potions. Potions from Thieves troves can also be quite useful.
