i also cannot log in with the launcher. it said to use steam if i purchased eso through steam (did not, but it got linked when i bought morrowind) and steam is currently down. -

We care very much, and want nothing more than to have everyone be able to log in to play. We're actively working with Steam on this issue and hope to have it resolved as quickly as possible. -

It's because Steam-ESO has a 50% chance login proc-rate. With a random 4-12 hour cooldown. It does however come with a 100% proc-chance of being investigated indefinitely.
