Love your OP. Yes to polearms and spears. In fact, yes to all your weapons and non weapons ideas (I just happen to love the idea of a stamplar with a polearm <img class="emoji" src="https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/resources/emoji/smile.png" title=":)" alt=":)" height="20" /> ). A few nitpicks with the implementat -
New Weapon Types?
Would be awesome to see some polearm / spear type weapons as well as 2H swords, not great swords, 2H swords like *** Swords / hand and a half swords. Just some wishes from me I guess, lol. I loved -

I would suggest one handed + spells for Spellblade-type characters. -

1) I like the idea of having Polearms or melee staffs. I think there's a void they can fill and clearly a player that would love use that. They could the existing staves and create new ones. -
