With DB coming up, you want to level your alchemy. I'd also recommend holding on to those plants for a few more weeks: their value may go up with poisons.

alchemy has passives that actually make your character better outside of crafting. any competitive build should have alchemy.

Maybe they fired the person in charge of alchemy back in alpha or something? These things should be standard, and are ridiculous oversights.

Imo Remains Silent is a de facto alchemy hireling if you have the DB dlc.
