I know one of the racial staff looks kinda like a spear. Although I agree, polearms would be great. -

Spears/javelins were generally treated as throwing weapons (though if someone didn't get too close, you could gore them, or use it as a staff if they do), and we don't have throwing weapons at the mo -

The templar line is more spear abilities, and it doesnt really cut it as a stand-in for polearm weapons because you're using a glowing stick. Some of us would rather have the real thing. -

the range on two handed weapons is 7 meters, and the range on 1h/shield or dual wield is 5 meters. Do you think a dagger can reach 15 feet away? -

In case you didn't already know, there are a couple of soldiers sparring with polearms in the castle courtyard in Skywatch, Auridon. The animations look OK, and the weapons are a sort of curved-blade- -
