     I find it both hilarious and sad that a modern RP game from a major publisher would release an MMO without the ability to text chat. It is like releasing a car without tires. It just isn't done.

     I'm just so glad to see the massive amounts of ppl rollin ESO on the PS4 using VC and having a great time. No text chat is working just fine for the console <img class="emoji" src="https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/resources/emoji/wink.png" title=";)" alt=";)" height="20" />

     Neverwinter is free on Xbox and not only has text chat, auction houses, inspect, etc...it also displays the character name and their guild when looking at them. Why ESO has none of this is beyond me a

     ESO everyday and the inclusion or absence of text chat may certainly play a role in their decision to purchase ESO.

     Text chat needs to be added.Due to an accident as a kid i'm hard of hearing and can not understand people most of the time on mics,so i don't use it.

     I think I'm going to drop my monthly sub until we hear either way about text chat. Really don't see why I should support a company that can't even be bothered to acknowledge a 70+ page thread.
