Originally ESO was going to have levels 1-50, then V1-VX and then there was going to be another set of ranks after vet ranks. -

From what we know of the Champion System, they are NOT getting rid of veteran ranks, just veteran points, which are an alternate form of exp you get after 50/VR1. -
