That's fine. My point is not that you shouldn't be able to display your @name if you wanted to. I'd just like it if there was an option to hide it if you didn't. Is that hard to understand?
The PC version shows account names in guild rosters and such, but when running around in the world you DO see character names without an addon, and that's where it matters most.
What is immersion breaking to one person may not be to another. Some of us "old timer" and "real" RPers do find the lack of chat bubbles to be immersion breaking. It's all a matter of personal taste
Unfortunately, I've just seen someone advertising their ESO account for sale. This was done in a discord channel, and not in-game so I was not able to report the player in game.
Oh mine isn't horrible, but it really hurts immersion even if it isn't bad for security. Adding the option to change this shouldn't be insanely difficult.
