Dyes are kind of messed up right now. Like you, I've noticed some slots have no effect on gear, but also the colours are WAY off in most cases. Reds can look like anything from pink to brown depending -

OMG YES! My red quiver does not go with my color scheme at all. I keep running into this problem. I can change the shield on my back, but not my quiver? Being able to dye this would be awesome... -

Then we shouldn't be able to dye armor or shields that use metal either...the logic makes no sense. -

Those of us that prefer to dye weapons and equipment more "naturally" would disagree.
