I think what they really want the ability to do, is use AP to power level the riding. Its not so much about saving gold, but about avoiding the grind. -

If this happened you know they'd be character bound, wouldn't stack and be gold quality, requiring you to type 'DESTROY' (first in lowercase by accident, of course) to be free of them. -
