"Where are the dragons?" or for me, "Altmer and Dunmer are so amazing!"
Boi, if you knew what both did to khajiit and what Dunmer did to Argonians, you wouldn't like em so much. Not to mention the Dominion Altmer who used an ancient relic to practically massacre almost an entire generation of unborn Argonians. He killed babies.

Man, I love that word for how utterly bonkers things get when it's invoked by the setting. When lore neophytes drag it out to explain away parts of the lore, that's when I get irked.

Eh, I can't be too hard on people misspelling Cyrodiil. I mean, I couldn't get it right, and I actually buried about three or four years in Oblivion off and on. Misspelling something easy like Vvardenfell on the other hand... :p

I just thought of another one, that irks me to no end: "mana" instead of "magicka". I don't know which setting that comes from but in TES, it's always "magicka"!

It's biblical. Literally. As I recall, it's an old Hebrew word that roughly translates to, "what is it?"

I'm not sure when it popped up as a measurement of magical energy, though.

That only triggers wannabe lore nerds who don't actually know the lore. New races are created by deities multiple times in the lore. No reason not to come up with something similar - like molag bal's experiments when we're in his prison.
That's not to mention lore books and the fact that genes mix, see notes on racial phylogeny from which it can easily be derived that if you have a kid of two races and he has a kid with one of those 2 races again, and then his kid, etc., then you can have any single combination of racial passives and looks.

p.s. Also, there's a quest in game where dunmer drinks potion and looks like an argonian. No reason to assume that his racial passives changed.

What triggers actual lore nerds is dragon mounts :)

    From Wikipedia:
It was first introduced as a magical fuel used to cast spells in the 1969 short story, "Not Long Before the End", by Larry Niven, and in role-playing games by Dungeon Master in 1987. It has since become a common staple in both role-playing and video games.

Still has no place in TES though. :p
