In light of B2P, everyone should support Camelot Unchained
I'm not absolutely against what ZOS has done, though I dislike the sudden announcement. I guess this model works fairly well in Guild Wars 2 and SWTOR. I'm going to keep my subscription and see what happens, but I am not especially optimistic. I saw what a change like this did to LOTRO, and it was an unmitigated disaster.
In light of this, I think a lot of MMO veterans should seriously consider contributing to kickstarter campaign for
Camelot Unchained (currently in development and led by the creator of Dark Age of Camelot). This game has published extensively about their core principles, one of which is to never go F2P. It looks like they are well on their way to creating an excellent MMO.
