Yea based only on one day though the drop rate seemed really low.
On the other hand maybe they need to be lower as there will be more surveys on the msrket as some can now sell them instead of just destrying them ..otherwise the mat prizes would tank even more
Just to chime in on this, today's daily crafting writs had a couple of my characters get two Woodworking Master Writs, so I'd guess that something is causing the game to reward a writ rather than a survey. The characters were ones who get occasional Woodworking writs anyway and I have no idea if the writ drop would have happened if their crafting levels weren't already high enough to get them, but two writs is something that's never happened before.
Thanks for flagging this. The team just took a look and they are not working as intended. We are putting in a bug now to work on a fix.
Update on survey drops
Yesterday after completing 95 daily crafting quests that could drop surveys I received 5 surveys
Today after completing 95 daily crafting quests that could drop surveys I received 3 surveys

When you say “could drop surveys,” are you counting clothing and woodworking? Those cannot drop surveys right now because whenever the game should give you a survey it gives you a master writ, per the CMs’ explanations.

Okay yes your right so that would be 57 daily quests over 19 character that could drop surveys.
So 5 and 3 survey drops over 2 days.
Down from 17 surveys a day over 95 daily quests that could drop surveys before patch 47.
Say I got 7 clothing and woodworking surveys a day that is still over a 50% drop off of surveys off the 57 dailies that can now drop surveys

The survey's being tradable now will most likely affect material prices going forward, because now folks can sell them instead of destroying them so there will be an influx of them

Wait, surveys are tradeable now? Missed that in the patch notes
They won‘t be available through writs as they aren‘t properly added to the lootable lists. They exist. You can get them inside Azandar‘s research folios. But they can‘t drop from writs until their lootables are fixed (probably with next incremental patch).
Well, they did tell in the official Known Issues thread:But wouldn't it be awesome, even if for only just this once, we heard that from ZOS? You know, communicate with your customers? I realize it's not something they do, but hope springs eternal
Issue: The Woodworking or Clothing Survey Envelopes are not working as intended.
Additional Information: We are bug in for this now and have an incremental 1 timeframe slotted for the fix.

An incremental patch is a patch between the major updates. It’s supposed to fix bugs and weird stuff that happened through said update. The first one will very likely happen on next monday.I don't even know what these words mean. what the heck is an "incremental 1 timeframe?? Is there a reason they don't just use plain English?
