At the bottom of the forums is a bar that shows all the gaming platforms, but I don't see Steam? I was just curious why. You can't honestly think that more people play this game on the Epic store then on Steam?

Possibly because Steam takes a giant cut. Though it can vary, the baseline is 30%. That is the entire reason the Epic Games Store exists.

Oh I get that, but Steam probably has 100x or more the epic subs. I just figured even with the cut they are making more money.

I personally only go through Steam just because the 1 time I tried Epic I had nothing but issues downloading the game, and then with the refund when it wouldn't download LOL.

Of course Steam is a much larger market, but there's also no need for ZOS to promote it. If a customer isn't going to buy from them directly, they would likely prefer Epic over Steam.

Anyway, that's just a guess. I don't actually know for certain and I doubt anyone will explain why.

I assume it's part of a licensing agreement - all the platforms listed will have either required ZOS to list them or paid them (or given more favourable terms) if they did. Steam didn't so they're not included.

The PC icon might be an exception to that since I'm not sure who would licence that. I don't think it's Windows specific.

That's a fair question. We'll follow up with our web team to see if there is a reason it isn't there, or if it was just left off for some reason.

Steam takes the same cut as Playstation and Xbox yet they are there.

Looking at it a different way, the odd one out actually seems to be Epic. In terms of operating system, the game is playable on PC/Mac, PS, and XB, so it makes sense to feature those logos prominently for prospective customers. Zenimax and Bethesda are, I hope, obvious ;). That leaves Epic at the end, which isn't an OS/hardware platform.

If it's from a "can purchase here" perspective as seems to be the OP's (completely reasonable) assumption, then Epic gets listed but Steam should as well.
