I've been on Linux Nobara for a month. NGL, ESO ran better on Windows BUT I do have an Nvidia card so stuff will run much better when I build an AMD system.
But here are some things to try if you can't get ESO working, or the gameplay is choppy:
* Try Nvidia Graphics drivers (New Feature) for Linux with Official Nvidia Open Modules (Recommended) from Advanced Device Profiles.
* After starting the game, hit the Launcher key (formerly known as the Windows key) and k!ll the launcher.
* Use a specific version of Proton. Proton 9.0-4 works for me, as has GE-Proton10-4. I have also heard good things about Proton Experimental.
* In game Properties - General, LLM AI susggested filling in: PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 DXVK_ASYNC=1
PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=0
WINE_FULLSCREEN_DSR=0 SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland
KWIN_XWAYLAND_FORCE_SCANOUT=1 __GL_SYNC_TO_VBLANK=0 %command% -this seems to have helped.
* Use LLMs. Gemini has helped and I'm sure ChatGPT is just as good. LLMs scrape the interwebs for answers.
I hope his helps someone.

ESO+ is part of the "Games as a service" trend. A trend that needs to die. Subscribe only when you need Crowns for DLC.
Say no to "radiant" junk quests replacing proper side content and the dumbing down of our favorite franchises.
