Message Box Broken, no mention?

Ever since i started playing this game, this has been like this.

I've seen no mention of this issue anywhere, this seems like a console ui specific quirk and i hope the devs are aware of (doesn't seem like it)
It's not a huge deal but about 90% of the messages and updates get cut, i don't think this should be happening.

Have you tried adjusting your screen resolution settings in-game to see if that allows the full message to be displayed?

I've heard at least one other long time player say the same happens to them, the rest of the game is fine, so it sounds less like a resolution issue. they're also on xbox, a series s.

I wonder what the user UI font size setting is? Also the screen size - if that's the full (not cropped) image, that message box is taking up way more of the screen than I'm used to seeing on my XBSX (on a 1080 screen).

What do you mean by that? I don't think screen resolution settings exist on console (maybe quality-performance mode? It's the only thing i can think of that adjusts res) But it's like this even on default settings.

OK Had a chance to check and, although the game wouldn't let me screenshot the same screen (???) I do see the full text. Looking at my settings I have:
Video: Graphics > Fidelity; Use custom scale > Off; HDR Mode > Default
Social: Text Size > Large

Nothing else I can see in the settings that might affect UI text size.

XBSX. Note that with my settings, the box itself took up a quarter of the screen height and about a third of the screen width. Did you try toggling the Video: Graphics setting to see if it made a difference?

Just did, nothing really changes it.

I have a 4k tv, if that's relevant, but ive checked every setting possible both in game and on xbox settings itself, and since it only seems to affect that particular box, something is definitely wrong with it on the series s.
