Unable to receive a werewolf bite from another player PCEU

I asked in zone for a werewolf bite on one of my characters on the PCEU at the shrine in Bangkorai. When the other player turned into a werewolf they were unable to target and bite me. Logged out and tried again later at the shrine in Reaper's March. Same problem, other player cannot bite me as the target. The character that I want to turn into a werewolf isn't a vampire or infected.

Having a similar issue with getting a vampire bite for a different character.
Tried to see if died then resurrecting will make it work but it didn't.
Didn't had this issue on PCNA.2 -

How did I know if I've been successfully bitten by a werewolf or vampire?
