Some weird sound shenanigans

Is anyone else experiencing weird issues with sounds in certain places after the latest patch?

1. When I teleport to Gonfalon Bay wayshrine, mount, and jump over the barrier to proceed over the bridge, the sound of the mount's hooves/paws is not played (along with the character's sounds encouraging the mount to move faster). Only the background music can be heard. All sounds are resumed once I go through the second arch on the bridge.

2. When looting the urns in Necom I can hear a new weird sound. Kind of like clonking or the sound of bone hitting another bone. I did a lot of urn looting after the Necrom came out, and the usual sound was metal on metal (kind of like a metal lid slides over a metal container).

So, the question: is it just me?

    So, you want people to tell you if you are hearing things?
    At least it's not voices ;)

    TBH I have not been to either of those areas post-patch so don't know.

    I was experiencing sound FX dropping out in group battles where there was one or more Arcanists doing their thing. This included me btw.
    Sound would be fine until Arcanist abilities were used and then it was like certain sounds from all other sources were drowned out\muted? Footsteps, some ability sounds, melee weapons connecting, it was odd.

    Seems to have stopped with the latest patch.

    Comforting, I know :smile:

    But honestly that clonking new sound is really irritating. So, I'm trying to find out if this is something on my end (or the dead are really angry that I'm looting their urns non stop).

    the past 2 days ive done a few rounds of stealing from the necrom urns and i didnt notice anything weird outside of the usual "urn opening" sound

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    Don't have Necrom, so can't speak to that, but I have experienced the Gonfalon Bay issue for quite some time and reported it numerous times.
    Maythor: honestly we're getting the supermarket treatment here ... shrinkflation with the addition of simply moving things about so they seem fresher .. all the while being told a corporation is our friend :P

    KlauthWarthog: Well, they can definitely measure fun on their spreadsheets, otherwise they would not be able to nerf it so consistently.

    The daily reward fox mount makes sound like asthmatic cough. I assume it "works as intended" but I believe giving rewards with evil intentions is not a good idea.

    The Duskember Fox Mount has the same sounds, so it is meant to be intended.

    I sometimes briefly lose hoof sounds in Elden Root riding around. Starts right after mounting and goes away by itself in less than a minute.

    Yes, I have this problem. Tech support knows nothing about it.

    My issue isn't location specific, but logging in on a random character and mounting up doesn't give the mount -up whistle,or can I hear the the hoof/paws sound when moving. The only way it goes away is either go to another zone or enter a player house. Not a deal breaker, but annoying [snip]
