(Only having deathmatch) I actually think is a great idea. One of your best ideas in fact.
As long as you remove the achievements for the other game modes entirely. Unobtainable achievements is likely to make some people leave.
You guys said it yourself deathmatch is your most popular game mode.
I know you will get a bunch of pve players complain about a change like this. But they aren't the ones Que-ing match after match after match anyway. And we know people always fight back against change.
But this decision has some real potential to fix some huge issues and allow us to finally get a surge of new players into battlegrounds.
It simplifies everything and allows people to focus on improving skill level.
Straight up if you guys made this a permanent switch and changed the secondary Que option to rated (ranked) battlegrounds. This game would just instantly be 1000 times better.
Please consider making this a forever change.
