Same problem here.
Ping suddenly quite high, lots of disconnections and when I try to reconnect I got that error too.

Just a minute ago, I was happy that I could connect and I wasn't gonna miss out on today's event tickets after all (even though I'd had incredibly LONG loading screens)... Managed to start a daily random dungeon... didn't last a minute. I had like a million ping, it immediately kicked me out and then I went back to the "lost lobby connection" error.

WHAT IS GOING ON??? (and before you ask... yes, my internet connection is fine, the game worked fine in the morning, I restarted my PC and did all the usual stuff)

As I know other people are also getting this error code since a month now and nobody has found a solution yet.

Yeah, in my case I just couldn't log in for a full day and therefore lost three event tickets. It eventually sorted itself out on the following day.

Anyone else having this issue today?

Can confirm using a VPN seems to work connecting.

Why?

I'm playing on PC-NA from EU. On most days it's fine. I have 180-200 ms ping but the game is playable, skills work correctly; some parts of the game are actually smoother than the EU server which has nominally lower latency. But I'm receiving the same error starting yesterday, January 3rd, in addition to other connectivity issues. It takes multiple attempts getting into the character selection window. Once I connect if I actually try to log in my character I get booted to the general login screens. When I port between zones or get into a BG I often get infinite loading screens. I got disconnected all the time, doing usual stuff, like dailies or chatting in the guild. I get huge ping spikes from time to time, although the zone I'm in is not crowded.

The traceroute indicates that the problem is most likely due to something in the akmai infrastructure:

My internet service is fine, 500 Mb/s fiber, and I have restarted the fiber router as well as my local wireless router (the gaming PC has a wired connection to that one) but the problem persists.

It's same for me in NZ. Cannot connnect to NA server but Eu server still works.
I tried my server in Japan, Hong Kong and West US. All the ping packets are lost to the server ip 198.10.198.110.
