One hour queue penalty

I missed a moment when they increased penalty to 1 hour. Probably, this also refers to the issue of optimization. The fewer people in content, the less lags there are.

There was a situation in dungeon. Healer crashed several times, and at some point decided simply not to return. Tank, tired of waiting, also switched off. Second dd left the group. As a result, I am in group with two offline players who will not be back today. And leaving group I have one hour queue penalty.

I understand why there is a penalty at all. But what should player do in such a situation? And why is penalty so high?

    That must be some kind of new bug. I haven't heard them increasing the time and seen it patch notes. Today I queued for random and ended up in dungeon with 2 tanks, go figure. They got something seriously messed up.

    Blame the healer. It seems you got everyone's penalty.

    Log out and back in. Also, the timer should start from when you entered the instance.

    That's an old glitch. Had it happen to me twice over a year ago, but haven't had it happen since.

    Usual penalty is 15 minutes for leaving the dungeon too early; 1 hour is definitely glitched. Hopefully logging out and logging back in fixes that, or else the game's telling you to take a break.

    There shouldn't be a penalty if you stick in the dungeon for at least 15 minutes to let the timer run out.

    Also, if that situation occurs again, and if you're party leader, you can either boot the two offline users or disband the group and the dungeon should automatically kick you out with no penalty.

    I'm a bit off topic... Please add a long penalities on free riders in BGs

    Enough with people camping and sometimes not even moving inside the base during BG games for the entire round. They didn't crash as they were talking sht with group chats.

    I think that's a glitch.

    Today I was with a group that got plunked into a random DLC we did not have time for, re-que-ing (and the 15 min penalty) was still faster.
    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
    Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    There is a solution I use...simply invite someone to fill the empty space, then the two of you vote kick one of the others, queue or invite another replacement, rinse and repeat...sure better than waiting an hour

    Is there a confirmed 1 hour penalty that was added to the game or is it confirmed a glitch? just got 1 hour myself and with maintenance soon means no more dungeoning tonight

    It’s been neither confirmed as a change nor confirmed as a bug. In the absence of any statement announcing the introduction of a longer penalty (and I’m sure we’d be hearing a lot more about it if suddenly everyone were getting 1 hour timers), likely safe to assume still a bug.
