LOUD STATIC NOISE

The game is putting out a massive amount of static noise "sound effects" since 3-4 maintenances ago.
These mostly "PFFFFFT" like sounds are no hardware problem as they occur with differend audio devices and different sound cards, only in ESO and only since a few maintenances ago.
(I run the game on max settings (as advised by geforce experience), have the latest drivers installed etc.)
They are in surround, you can localise the direction/object they come from - but they seem to be able to originate from almost everything in the world (torches, grass, hovering books ...).
The Templar ultimate ability crescent sweep triggers static noises 99% of the time, for example. Sometimes directly after the ability is used, sometimes 1 or 2s later, or a whole cascade.
And these are LOUD.
The problem can temporarily be fixed by setting the sliders for sound effecs and "ambient sound" to 0 - But your game is 0 fun to play then as well.
I do not use any addons or game modifications of any kind for ESO.
Restarting, relogging, tabbing in and out of ESO, changing pets/companions/costumes/zones do not solve this problem.
