crooked legs of all races

all races have crooked legs below the knees, if you look at the character from the side, you can see how the calves are bent in the opposite direction.
The legs themselves take the shape of a crescent when viewed from the side.
Throughout history, everyone should have beautiful straight legs.

The extra joint above the ankle when crouching is disconcerting.

below the knees, it starts below the knees
you need to look from the side and try to draw a straight line
I saw something like this in other games, but there are aliens, not people

I thought it was skinny dudes with shoulders and breasts like Arnie in his peak time.

Love my fat Nord in golden dress with a skull head and drinking med all day.

A reasonably anatomically correct study of a human leg will at least hint at a "bent" lower leg: human-leg-drawing-4.jpg

Agreed, the lower legs have a slightly more dynamic curve to them than what most people have in reality. The legs are not actually bent, but the proportions of the thigh muscles, the position of the kneecap and the knee joint, and the accentuated calves for the more "muscular" body types all contribute to the illusion of a curve. A lot of the muscle tissue on the thighs go on the front, while all the muscles for the calves go on the back. There is still a way to imagine a straight calf bone inside of all that but, yes, it's a stretch, anatomically speaking. However, this is a very common way for artists to represent legs, simply because it looks better in poses. You will find many examples of it in classic art as well as in 3-D game models. It's an artistic choice, and I think it's a perfectly valid one.

In reality, people look much more different from each other than in any current game. This goes for body types and body proportions as well as facial features. I'm not expecting realism from this game, nor do I expect to agree with all the artistic choices made by the game designers. I think the game has a very beautiful overall look to it, and I'm quite happy with that.

Don't just stop at the legs. I'd like a whole new revamp with updated character graphics. Especially, and this is where it really bugs me, in quest conversations. These character faces look like dead puppets that express no emotion beyond the voice and some rudimentary emotes. If I have to look at it and buy into their distress then I should easily see it. The effect it has on me is just dead.

Speaking of legs when you wear the orc wise woman's dress your legs dissapear and the dress seems to be "attached" to the joints. When you crouch your knees are basically tiny little points and it's the weirdest thing to look at.
