Still working on this quest. Hopefully it'll work. Thanks for the info. However, this should be fixed, an active quest should not stop you from starting an unrelated one.

Hello, I've heard that the ESO team has released the hotfix for this bug, but the sealed imperial summons still doesn't start the quest for me, it did on my alt though, but no matter how many times I sell and rebuy the SIS the quest just doesn't start, and it's weird because they have fixed it apparently.

Would be nice to actually do this on my main character.

I never used the quest starter. I just rode out Daggerfall's east gate, past the festival pavilion, and was accosted at the far end of the bridge by a messenger. Talking to her triggered the prologue quest. Twice. I'll try the other alliances when I get the chance.

Im on a DC toon and the mission says to go to Grahtwood but then the mission marker takes me to the cart going to Craglorn.... And he isnt in Davon's Watch either. For the life of me I cannot find him. Very frustrating.

Edit: thanks to the poster that said Tharn is in Daggerfall Castle..first floor by kitchen.... Seems pretty silly that ZoS would be really pumping this expansion, yet the starter quest is broke...seems like day 1 at ESO release....very unprofessional.

I've been away from the game for a while, and came back to try this prologue quest out.

Unfortunately, like some of the others reported above, it's not working. The Crown Store item, "Sealed Imperial Summons", does not seem to trigger a quest. When I went looking to see if I can find Tharn, he's not located in the Daggerfall Castle (like the previous poster mentioned). Unless I'm missing something, or I'm supposed to own Summerset before I can embark on this quest, I'm really lost and confused.

Edit: Bought Summerset (on sale on Steam), still nothing when I read the sealed summons.
Edit2: Apparently, my issue was that I hadn't completed the quest "The Tharn Speaks". After completing it, using the note triggers the quest. A bit clunky, but maybe this helps someone who's also been away for a while, or is new to the game.

This is still bugged.. i also on eu PC can not start quest... i can get item from store, but nothing happens when i open it, does not trigger quest..

Any officila statement about this?

Are you doing the quest the tharn speaks at the same time? Or any other quest that puts tharn in any of those places? Because from what I know he only spawns in your alliance, and next to that he only spawns if there isn't another abnar in the area. For me It got fixed by finishing the tharn speaks or by simply cancelling the quest and then he should spawn if the other tharn won't interveign.

I play a Dark Elf.
I have finished all the main questlines in 2014. I don't have a "The Tharn Speaks" quest. I have plenty of quests slots free.

I have got the "Sealed Imperial Summons" item, I can use it, see a letter but I don't get a quest.
No Tharn guy in mages guild hall.
I went to visit the "Impresario" NPC, which is alone, no "Anais Davaux" anywhere.

What am I meant to do?

Same with me. Tried several Chars. Nothing works. Quest does not start after opening the letter from the crown store. (EU-Server)

the sealed imperial summons isn't starting the quest for me either, pc eu, no quest npc's found in any of the locations either. Is this still bugged?

The same exact thing has happened to me. Since the Jester's Festival concluded, I decided to try and level up an alt for a bit of fun. I finished up 'Castle of the Worm' and walked into town and no Banekin came a calling. I continued on and finished up my Mages and Fighter's guild and also did the prologue quest and did a few runs of the repeatable. Still nothing.
I put in a ticket as well, however I have heard nothing back for many days now; I think it's been over a week, honestly.

I can't remember if I had the prologue quest active before or after I finished up Castle of the Worm, but when I looked in my journal and saw the next quest, it didn't take long for me to put together that this problem could certainly be related.

Now I wished I'd never started or done the prologue quest because the Main quest is far more important given that it levels up a skill line that's quite important for this character!

Anais Davaux disappeared for me! My chars can't see her, even those who used to see her before multiple times but didn't take the quest because they had other things to do. And most of them have completed the main questline a while ago. One tried to get Tharn's letter from the shop, but when she reads it, the quest doesn't appear. It's EU PC. (My chars on NA PC can see Anais and the quest ok).

I've completed the prologue quest for my main, but I really want all my chars to do it because it's beautiful.

Upd: Somehow missed that this issue has been noticed already. Really hoping for a fix next patch!

Dito, quest does not work for me, too. Also PC/EU. I tried it on all alliances, but neither the quest item from the crown store works nor I see Anais Davaux.

I did this quest with my main char weeks ago and now I want to go with other chars, but it simply does not work.

Did the quest at launch on my main, tried to start it today (on a 2nd char) & no quest from the 'letter' (crown store quest starter) & no sign of Tharn anywhere!

Try to do the quest with char who already finished the main quest. If you have main quest not finished prologue quest will not work.

vovus69, the main quest already finished. It's just been a strange bug, when my chars suddenly stopped seeing Anais Davaux. Seems to be working now.

When I try to purchase Prologue Quest: Sealed Imperial Summons I receive the following pop-up message:

Prologue Quest: Sealed Imperial Summons
You are unable to receive this quest.

The only quest I have in my Quest Journal is:
Main Quest:
The Tharn Speaks

I would start a new thread about this, if it's still a problem.
However, I would make sure you don't have the item it gives in your inventory. To get the quest you need to use the item the crown store thing gives you, and it wont let you get another scroll when you have one in your inventory.

It's because those quests clash (as mentioned in this thread you raised from the dead). Finish or remove 'The Tharn Speaks'.
