Good morning

I recorded some little videos of the new houses for my channel, and thought that I would share them here too in case anybody who doesn't have access to the pts wanted a little look at them

I went in and had a look this morning. They are interesting houses. I think the Arena definitely offers something new and something that has been asked for.
The Dwemer home I think will be too hard to decorate at 400 slots. This really needs to be 600 slots - even if they want to charge a little extra for it. I just think that at 400 slots, it wont be a viable option for a good build.
I must admit, I am hugely disappointed in the new furniture items that were released on the crown store. Its just a very poor selection. I haven't gotten to the Master Writ vendor yet but I really thought they could have done a bit more with regard to furniture that they released with this patch. They only release during these quarterly patches so I was hoping for a bit more.
There are now dozens of threads and pages listing the kinds of things people want to see made available as furniture and again it was just all ignored in favour of a few strange 'bits'!
It's as if NOBODY listens to what the housing community is asking for

Every DLC, I log in, buy a house and go through the new furniture items added. This DLC was particularly disappointing in that context. Guess I'm just gonna have to wait until June for Elsweyr and see if anything decent comes out then.

I agree with you 100% with the furnishings, they were a little disappointing! I would have hoped that there would be more Dwemer items, seeing as we have a new Dwemer home! We did get a few, but nothing really practical like normal furnishing items that we can place in a 'home' as such. The master writ vendor items, however, were really nice!

We do seem to have our wishes/suggestions overlooked fairly often within the housing community I think, compared to some of the more vocal groups haha! I purchased the Dwemer home, thinking that maybe this would be the moment that I looked at (what I thought to be) a house with 600 items, finally having an item limit increase. I was actually rendered a little speechless when I saw the 400 haha!

Hopefully we get some amazing Khajiit homes and furnishings with the next update to make up for this disappointing one!

On the pts, all houses are 1 crown, so I suppose we will have to wait and see what ZOS want to charge for it!

FYI, the Dwarven heavy light that appears to do nothing actually lights from the underneath - a bit like a overhead cooker light!

I really hope they'll bring the Dwarven pipes back to the store now. I skipped it when it was there because we had no Dwemer House and also because I didn't realize it featured a book (the one on Dwemer Megastructures). Now that we have a Dwemer House, it'd make sense to have it back. (Especially since it is - I think - the only way to have this book as a furnishing.)

Wow... it's like they don't listen at all. *SIGH* I admit the arena is neat but as long as there is still a 24 player limit in even the largest homes I don't see the point of this place either.

I guess I'm excited about the tea kettle and the color changing light?

Just when i thought Zos had turned a corner and released something different , they have to spoil it

400 SLOTS !!!!

A cave the size of a small planet, and you class it as a medium /small house.

Its almost as if there was a compulsary requirement to add something truely stupid to outweigh the good parts to this release.

I'm speechless, well i can manage 1 more word - Cretins.

Yes, 400 slots is way too low for this place! Initially, it might look like it is doable, but most housing enthusiasts love to build and customize their homes, and with that in mind, 400 is not enough. In fact... Even without that in mind, I still don't think 400 is enough! It is a large house, with a medium house item limit, to somehow make ZOS believe that they have adhered to the communities wishes by releasing a medium home

It highlights, I think, the need for a couple of Class Reps for housing. Some people that can sign a NDA and look at houses during the design phase and give an input that reflects the housing community.
I think the Dwemer house is a prime example of where community input could have made a difference.

That would be amazing, if they could get other people to check out the houses first! Seeing as the players are the ones who really know what people want out of housing, and how many items will be needed as a minimum!

I am so frustrated with this Dwemer house lol

I've been decorating it on the pts, and have managed to do 'something' in each area, so if people are happy to just fill the space with items then that might just about be doable, but customizing the space is a no no. It is such a weird, and oddly sized space, I would even say 500 items might be perfect for it. I have about 50 items left to add to the items inside before I hit 400, but with another 100+ could have done something really nice in this place... As it stands, with 400 items you cannot be creative here, and in a place like this, which for the most part is a platform in the air, I think people will want to be more creative than ever!

The 400 is not quite as bad as I expected here, but it is still not enough for it's size or what could potentially be achieved here creatively.
