I started playing Murkmire today and i was averaging under 35 FPS. Only in Murkmire.

i7-7700k @ 4.2
GTX 1070 8GB
16GB DDR4

The game should not be running this way. Most of the other content runs normally with a few big spikes or texture issues here and there but honestly that's how this game has always run.

Your FPS dropping in Murkmire could be because of the use of add-ons, outdated drivers, or overall computer performance. If you've not done so, check each of the following and see if your performance improves.

    Add-Ons
    • We recommend that, while trying our troubleshooting steps, you remove all add-ons and any add-on managers you have for The Elder Scrolls Online.
    • After any patches to the game, any add-ons you have for the game will be out of date and may cause issues with the game that cause your FPS or general performance to drop dramatically. To resolve this issue, you should not only disable any add-ons, but completely remove them to make sure no residual effects are left behind.
    • To remove your add-ons, please navigate to the following default location and move these folders to your desktop so you can easily put them back later.
    • If using a PC, the typical default install path is: C:\Users\user.name\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live
    • Once they are removed, you should then go to Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs. Once here you can select Minion or any other add-on related programs and then uninstall.
    • If the add-on removal has not fixed your issue, please proceed to the next steps.

Ensure that your graphics card is updated

Please follow the manufacturer's installation instructions and try to run the game again as an administrator. If on a laptop, see your laptop manufacturer for updates to your drivers.

    • Click Drivers.
    • Choose Option 2: Automatically find drivers for my NVIDIA products.

I've already tried disabling all of my add-ons. I made sure they were updated right away. My video card is up to date and so are the rest of my drivers and bios. I've repaired the game through the client as well.

Unfortunately a generic reply from the moderators. It's sad that after every patch ESO goes upside down in terms of playability. I always have my drivers current and no add-ons. The degeneration of ESO is more problematic than ever. Launcher crashing or even worse not letting me login. My pings averaged from 90 -8k and at certain points freezing the client and unlogging me from the server. I can go on Steam and play many games after updates with nary an issue. With ESO the playability is at times horrific especially in Cryo. If people stop subbing then maybe that is the voice of reason.
