Steam ESO client crashing when logging into character

My client keeps crashing as I log into my first character on my Steam ESO client. If I log in with my stand alone, it's fine. It seems there are continuing problems with the Steam/ESO client. Anyone else having that problem? Should I just stop using the Steam login launcher?

If the launcher is crashing when opened through Steam, there could be a permissions issue. First, set the launcher to run as an administrator. Second, add the ESO launcher as an exception in your anti-virus software. Steps for doing so can be found here.
