I see where your coming from OP, but there was no robbery here, just poor RNG. But hey, if he wants to spend his money on crates even though there are poor odds of getting anything decent, then that's his business. Like a casino, the house always wins, in this case its Zos

He had more than enough gems to pick two APEX mounts of his choice. The system guarantees an APEX mount after you have accumulated so many gems which is usually around 15 - 20 crates. I'm not sure how he got robbed.

Most games offer no "gem system" and it's just tough luck if you don't get something rare.

When people say Apex they are normally referring to the mounts you can't buy with Gems.

Those are specifically called radiant apex rewards. Referring to them as just apex rewards is either lazy, uninformed, or unintentional, because apex rewards refer specifically to a certain pool of rewards, just as radiant apex rewards refer specifically to another certain pool of rewards. These terms are pretty exact - you can't just claim that apex refers to something it specifically doesn't.

The person did get ROBBED. It's a figure of speech. Maybe where you live in the world you don't understand the meaning. Just like for example for people who were expecting to play ESO and it's down for unexpected maintenance, and it's the only time you could play for what ever reason, that person was "robbed" from playing ESO.

Some of you people are just taking it way to personal or extreme for the literal meaning of the title.

    *edit*

    More examples.

He got robbed of a home run. That means what should have been a home run, the opposing player spectacularly caught the ball.

He got robbed a goal. That would mean the player should have scored but the goalie miraculously saved it.

The team was robbed of a penalty. That would mean the referee did not call the foul or penalty.

So yes the person in the video was robbed because of a RNG that was PURPOSELY made to be low. This doesn't negate that he did this willingly and knowingly. He knew he was going to be robbed from what I take people said who watched the video.

Again, "Being Robbed" is a figure of speech for some people in the world. Not a strict saying a crime has been committed.

    Wow.

I watch videos occasionally to help scratch the itch of actually buying crown crates.

I seriously felt awful for this guy. Even when it seems his luck has changed, well, it doesn’t.

have you even read some of the garbage posted by the anti-crate crowd? they certainly take it literally. so yes, it should be held against them
    More examples.

He got robbed of a home run. That means what should have been a home run, the opposing player spectacularly caught the ball.

so he didnt get a home run. he got out. not robbed.

it didnt go in the goal. not robbed.

If you get something good from a crown crate, be happy.

But expect to get just the common drops.

    Then all is well.

    Hi,

I consider gambling for what it is - downright cancerous and I agree it should be removed from games as per latest legislation.

In ESO it has a slight bright side to it with the gem feature they introduced. With it you have the chance for a consolation prize - something I haven't seen anywhere else that I would remember - most of the items you get from the crates you can convert to gems which then you can turn in (once you have enough, or wasted enough money) for the item that you wanted.

While Apex mounts from what I recall aren't included, maybe I'm wrong, in case you were after a snow mount or whatever are the second highest that they added these days is, with 400 of those gems you can get the item you wanted, so you have a sort of compensation.

Always keep in mind that gambling is very dangerous and it never had anything to do with luck, only chance and chance can be manipulated. Once you commit to gamble blame none but yourself.
